About Lokdin

Lokdin is a web app for people who are tired of making promises they don't keep.

You define a goal, set a deadline, and choose your consequence:
- we post it publicly on via @lokdinai
- you lock crypto privately,
- or both for maximum stakes.

Anyone can watch your commitment and get notified when you succeed or fail. If you deliver, you win. If you don't, you face the consequence — a factual tweet from @lokdinai and/or forfeited funds.

It's accountability through consequences and social pressure — opt-in, verifiable, and impossible to ignore. Your commitment is enforced by code, watchers, and social pressure, not willpower.

Where It Started

Lokdin was inspired by a tweet from Garry Tan:

"Intelligence is on tap now so agency is even more important"

That simple idea, along with the "Build in the open" ethos, sparked Lokdin: what if we could ship more by using a social and monetary stick?

How It Works

1. Define Your Goal

Create a specific, verifiable commitment with a clear deadline.

2. Choose Your Stakes

Go public (free), lock crypto (paid), or both for maximum pressure.

3. Execute

The countdown starts. Submit proof before the deadline or face consequences.

4. Face the Outcome

Success or failure. The result is public, permanent, and enforced by code.
